JADE THUNDER
Jade Thunder, formerly known as Jade Tremarco, boasts a remarkable presence in the local music circuit spanning over two decades. She has etched her name into the consciousness of music enthusiasts primarily through her vocal contributions to renowned acts such as The Gary Murphy Band, Eclipse – The Pink Floyd Experience, and Court & Spark – The Joni Mitchell Experience. Beyond that, she has graced various stages across Merseyside as a versatile cover artist.
Throughout her career, Thunder has shared stages and collaborated with an array of distinguished artists including Liverpool Express, the late Gerry Marsden, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Undertakers, and The Searchers. She even lent her vocal prowess to support The Connie Lush Band and took on the role of a backing singer for Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band during their Liverpool performance in 2016.
The onset of the 2020 pandemic marked a pivotal transition in Thunder’s musical journey. She ventured beyond her cover artist persona to embrace a new creative path as an original artist. This transformation led her to craft music that’s both emotionally charged and raw, often weaving in poignant real-life experiences that evoke nostalgia.
Fusing elements from genres as diverse as folk, pop, rock, prog-rock, and jazz, Thunder’s compositions delve into themes of disenchantment, womanhood, romance, trauma, and recovery. Her songs are introspective reflections on her personal sentiments.
Praising her work, Liverpool Noise described “Alchemy” as a meticulously crafted piece that resonates with the finest moments of Joni Mitchell’s artistry. Meanwhile, Liverpool Acoustic anticipates that the album will solidify Jade Thunder’s position as a genuine songwriting gem hailing from Liverpool.
In March 2016, Thunder introduced her original material to the world through her debut EP titled “My Fault Anyway,” which showcases her soulful vocal style. Her musical journey has consistently revolved around translating personal experiences into song lyrics that touch on life’s highs and lows, relationships with loved ones, battles with illnesses, and most importantly, self-acceptance.
